Stargazing

the act of observing the stars and other celestial bodies in the night sky.

Star Maps

Stargazing is the hobby of observing celestial objects like stars, planets, and galaxies, done with the naked eye, binoculars, or telescopes, away from city lights for best views of the night sky. It involves identifying constellations, planets, and other phenomena, requiring dark conditions, patience (for eyes to adjust), and tools like star maps or apps to explore the universe from your backyard or dark-sky locations.

STARGAZING IN YOUR SCHOOL OR YOUR TOWN

Stargazing

  • Avoid Full Moon: The best time is during the new moon phase for minimal light pollution.

  • Check Weather: Look for clear, cloudless nights.

  • Use Apps: Utilize astronomy apps to locate planets and constellations.

  • Get Away from City Lights: Light pollution significantly reduces visibility; head to the outskirts.

  • .Stargazing for over Night
